Execution and Clearing Offer Advice

Hi! I received a return offer at my S&T internship but on the Execution and Clearing desk at a top BB bank. From what I understand, I would be working with derivatives and relative value. The pay is good, but I have been told and read that the desk, and industry, is slowing down and there tends not to be a lot of exit opportunities. I was wondering if any of you had any input on the industry and exit opps regarding my placement. Thanks!
