Exit ops for a commodity trader in a BB?
What are the common exit opportunities for such a position? Is it possible to exit to the physical side (Vitol, Trafi, Mercuria and other)

Yes quite possible exit opp - have seen it happen a lot and know quite a few people.
Just don’t expect jumping into a physical trading role when previously trading paper, lateral movements are more realistic.
If you are good yes always avail to go to a phys shop but most don't last long at all due to the lack of experience on the physical side(outside of macquarie but no1 ever leaves there). I've seen guys go from JP, Citi, GS to Trafi, Glencore etc. and one lasted 1 month, another 2 months and more recently one only lasted 6 months
Amazing that somebody could only last 1 or 2 months... that's hardly enough time to get the IT systems working.
