Experienced hire prop recruiting

I worked at a t1 / s tier prop shop previously but in a weird and niche role rather than in a core desk. I took a few years to start a company which failed and now I want to go back. Any advice on how to go about the transition? Are there headhunters to use? Should I go to grad school? Should I just ask old coworkers? Should I cold email traders at other firms? Would be curious what are likely the most effective paths.
