Fertilizer Trading

Does anyone have Fertilizer trading experience or have knowledge of the industry? Or if possible could help me get in touch with someone in the industry?

Interested in main products, where they are traded/cleared, transportation, career opportunities, etc.

Thanks in advance!

I'm waiting for the clever/witty comments as well...

he is serious. It is a huge industry and impacts freight markets. It is all physical trading(obviously no fin. mkt). Main products are UAN and UREA.. Basically nitrogen compounds. Alot of these chemicals are exported out of northern africa to the US. Because of the type of corn that is grown in this country it requires a ton of fertilizer.

Big fert traders are places like ADM, Cargill, and Bunge.

Thanks for info. I am serious, I have an interview on Thursday and need to read up on this industry. Do you trade in this market? Where/What would you recommend to read to learn more about this industry/market? Is there an equivalent to Platts Daily? Only place that I saw is CME/NYMEX but they are discontinuing their fertilizer contracts.
