FSG at Goldman Sachs

Hey everyone, I have an upcoming interview with Goldman Sachs' Fundamental Strategies Group (FSG) in London, focused on High Yield and Leveraged Loan markets, and I'm trying to get a better sense of the team before going in.

From what I understand, FSG sits within Sales & Trading and generates cross-capital trade ideas for institutional clients, so more commercially oriented than traditional credit research. That said, I'm struggling to find much about the team online. Is it closer to a special situations / distressed credit desk, or more of a flow credit research function? Any colour on the day-to-day would be really helpful.

I'm also preparing for the technical interview and would love to know what kinds of questions typically come up, whether that's market knowledge, credit modelling, or trade idea pitches.

Background: engineering + currently in a business school, so comfortable with the quant/modelling side but still building out my credit markets knowledge.

Thanks in advance!
