Future of trading and the stock market

I’ve been reading some articles on the performance of the market this past year and the speculative nature of it all. I know COVID and stimulus checks were among the catalysts of this incredible run, with the market saturated and supported by bullish Robinhoodies.

Curious to know everyone’s thoughts on the shift towards more accessible trading for the lay person. Assuming this new type of investor gains a larger share in trading coming out of this pandemic, which I think is very likely, how effective would many of the tools and analyses that professional traders continue to be? Is it fair to think that the market will continue to be more speculative than before?
