"G7 leaders discuss price cap on Russian oil over Ukraine invasion"
If I summarize: The countries that do not produce oil want to force the countries that produce it to sell it cheaper.
It's like if I go to the gas station tomorrow and tell the gas owner that I'm buying a tank of gas at half price because I decided to.
Are they completely stupid or am I missing something?
US, UK & Canada don’t produce oil? 🤔
That aside - I get your point, but it’s not black and white. A better analogy would be the 7 richest people turning up at the country’s largest gas station and demanding a lower price… the owner might be forced to comply
