Getting into sales + trading from Asset management

Hi all, i've been front office for a couple years on a rates desk then an equity derivs desk at a big asset manager, been wanting to move into a trading role at a bank for some time (started off in a tech grad scheme at a bb bank but saw no option for movement internally). Had 0 traction applying to roles, done some networking but it never really leads anywhere, I'm 24 now with a maths background, do i go for a masters (would have to be semi target as targets too expensive) to give me the opportunity to go for internships again? or do I just keep going with the networking?
