Getting into S&T without an S&T Junior Summer Internship

Hi guys, I am currently approaching my Senior year interning in NY at a Hedge Fund Placement Agent. I go to school at a non-target but have a good GPA. I am very interested in a career in S&T after college but currently my internships are not related to the skill sets necessary for either sales nor trading. Does anyone have any tips for me as to what I should do in order to succeed in finding a job in S&T? I appreciate all the help I can get, thanks.

Network like a mofo man. Go on bloomberg, and look up as many traders at every bank that trade the product you want to trade and start contacting them. Also consider regionals too, as you can always lateral. Keep in mind a lot of trading positions open up off season, so be on the look out. All in, I think if you hit it hard, you shouldn't have a hard time as your GPA is good - just be motivated and stay positive about your situation (It'll show when you're networking).
