well, i wouldn't say the bank name doesn't mean shit, because for some banks the level of client flow matters. (e.g. someone at MS exotic commodities will be able to execute maybe 5 or 6 trades a day whereas an MM or recently-started desk only looks at 2 or 3). however in general Securities Lending doesn't sound particularly interesting, and I think it's part of prime brokerage at GS?
What Gekko21 means by the name of the bank doesn't matter is that the top desks (hence the ones with the top flow) aren't necessarily at the top banks.
