I recently started at a large firm that trades on ERCOT (prefer not to disclose which one but there aren't many so you can probably guess) on their market risk desk. Their IT needs some improvement but management is open to new ideas.
I came from a PWM background so I'm fairly new to this, but what ETRM software have you guys worked with and recommend/not recommend? Any advice is most appreciated.
Reconciled power trades at a Super Major. They used http://www.olf.com/software/products/Endur.html
They swore by it but I thought it was imperfect given my job was to catch the mistakes made by Endur. Used very widely from what I've seen.
