Have an idea - how to execute?
Hey guys, Looking for some advise here. I'm a quant at a top hedge-fund. I'm not in a risk taking role (far far from it), but I do model some very quantitative products and have a knack for picking up mathematical anomalies. Point is: I don't know the nuances of the market.
Recently, I realized what can be described as a systematic bias in a product I can profit from. I've worked the math out, and have backtested on data. It's a liquid product.
I have a few questions 1. What's the best way to profit from this? I have a few options: a.) Share it with desk trading this at my firm. They know the markets better, and can advise me on how to execute, and maybe provide me with cash to trade it? b.) Put a good chunk of my savings into the strategy. The strategy doesn't need much capital, but the problem is I don't actually have a lot saved.
- Should I share this with people? I have friends trading this product who I want to bounce the idea off of, but fear they might implement it.

so much for being a quant brah
Non disclosures are a possibility. I would trade your money first and see how that goes. Then bring that up to the desk.
