this is not exactly just an US problem, foregin gov, markets, investors, are all going to contribute more unstable movement on the US market. and it seems like the world has just begun the to panic, how long is it going to take "the world" to calm down? who knows. not anytime soon tho.

The post-open bounce is short covering. She goes lower.

As hedge funds delever stock multiples will deflate...it makes you wonder how much of the run up as been a result of leverage.

I like gently working into long positions here. I have been very patient during the collapse all cash and only doing short term trading to the short side. For longer term stuff I like to gently work into positions 8500. I think we are going to retest the morning lows however so i will be patient and wait and just trade it to the short side if i see any quick scalps.

I will here all day and periodically check this thread if anyone wants to have inciteful market commentary on the session.

It's really interesting to see this market. I'm not sure what trade I should execute with MS at the moment. I shorted them at $11 today and covered when it hit about 8.30(about 1000 shares). Now I'm wondering if I should leave it alone and look for something else. Anyone have an idea?

haha, I would love if people got more involved like on ET. I think the younger users will find all this interesting. There are some respectable guys on ET but in general it can be tough to distinguish those that make money and those they are nothing more than gamblers.
