VBA/ Python. Learn how to automate processes and people will love you. Besides that, just be coachable, jump on everything given to you, and be someone who’s easy/ fun to work with. At the end of the day it’s just a job, you can know everything but if they don’t like you you won’t last.

Any more specific detail on what sort of things typically are automated in these roles? I've got experience in both python and VBA, so trying to get a better idea of how I can say that I can tangibly use that to make an impact

Familiarize yourself with BQL and try to learn Bloomberg in VBA/ Python (DAPI command on terminal will get you started). Not in trading so not much advice beyond that. Good luck
