How can I break into trading? Laid-off recently

Was working in an acconuting firm's financial advisory services department on private equity transactions. Only half a year of experience.

Before that, did an equity research internship.

MSF, Undergrad majors are math and econ.

Had a couple to a few trader interviews before my job at the accounting firm.

Any places recruiting right now? Have been filling out at least 100 applications the last 3 days but 0 response.

I tried to reach out to some alumni, no one really had anything.

Been learning SQL and Python the last few weeks on an intensive pace. had exposure to other statistical tools before in college.
