Does anyone know where structurers actually sit at a BB?
I understand they are part of the S&T team. Are they physically on the trading floor? do they sit on the trading desks? next to the sales people? or do they have their own set up?
does it differ from firm to firm?
I am starting on the hybrids structuring desk at a BB and was wondering what the day-to-day atmosphere is going to be like.
any insight will be much appreciated.

depends. what you're describing will probably sit with traders. structurers almost always sit on the floor. sometimes with sales, sometimes by themselves.
