If I am related to a "public official", how do the banks use this in the application process?
I have a close relative who works for a government agency in an EU country (outside the UK), which unexpectedly seems to be included in the definition of a "public official" (although the person in question is not in any position of power). When applying to summer internships in London, all banks ask about this. How do they use this? Can they somehow check whether I do or not?
