Inter-dealer broking desks
Assuming I was going to start work for a large interdealer broker in the UK (think BGC, Tullett, ICAP), I understand that some desks are more desirable than others - markets with larger trades and greater liquidity tend to result in larger commissions for those broking the deal. I'd like to know what desks are generally preferable for brokers ultimately looking to make decent bucks? How does broking financial products compare to energy and commodities?
