I can't speak for UK but I know a friend who got royally fucked by them a few years back. Stud intern in NYC, bad year I think covid or something, they took like 1/19 interns who was a nepo.

 

I don't think this is for NYC. There are way more than 19 interns doing S&T in the NYC office. Cannot think of a time within the last decade where RO at barclays was less than 50%. It's usually higher. Firm looks to keep RO high relative to peers and seniors will bat to find interns places on other desks if need be.
