Intern conversion rate for Barclays S&T
I hear its quite, but how hight, some say 75%? Is this always the case?

I can't speak for UK but I know a friend who got royally fucked by them a few years back. Stud intern in NYC, bad year I think covid or something, they took like 1/19 interns who was a nepo.
I don't think this is for NYC. There are way more than 19 interns doing S&T in the NYC office. Cannot think of a time within the last decade where RO at barclays was less than 50%. It's usually higher. Firm looks to keep RO high relative to peers and seniors will bat to find interns places on other desks if need be.
Can confirm this is true, knew friend who didn’t get RO from the three rotated desks but them seniors got him a place somewhere else

There is no "conversion rate", it is pointless to think about it like this. There is only desk headcount.
Because the numbers here are ultimately pretty small, it only takes a few desks not having headcount to swing "conversion rates" between high and low numbers.
Exactly. I dont get why kids are so obsessed with those total conversion rate.
Only thing that matters is headcount on the desk
