Internships - Who is still open to applications?

Hey there WSO,

I am a sophomore with a decent resume/GPA. I have been applying for summer internships in trading and investment banking but have run out of ideas on where to apply. From my understanding, I will have a better chance getting a smaller trading internship as a sophomore than something in investment banking. Who is still accepting applications this late in the game in trading? I would love to go to Chicago/LA/NYC.

Thanks!

Sophomore IB programs in Chicago are hard to come by (and unheard of if you do not go to Northwestern or U Chicago). You may want to begin applying to positions that have transferable skills for next year (corp fin, the fed).

Prop trading places tend to interview later (though most offers have gone out already). How good at math are you? Because the top prop shops require you to be quite astute. Actually, your UG isn't as important as your major GPA and any accomplishments (Putnam, USAMO etc). Good luck.
