Interviewed with a BB for SA in S&T, got a reject after 2nd round. Possible to get a second chance for the same program (2012)?

Hi,

I interviewed with a a tier-1 BB for SA in S&T, got a reject but I want to give it another shot through networking with MDs. Does an MD have the power to give me an interview (perhaps even for his desk specifically) even if I got rejected by the same company a month or so ago?

Thanks

An MD can pretty much tell HR to do whatever he wants. But, at least in this case, why would he? Say he agrees to push your res. Then HR tells him they've already interviewed you. He would have to put his foot down - unrealistic.

Sorry man. It's tough out there. Keep plugging.

WallStreetStandardThank you all for your inputs. Does this also hold with companies that I applied to but got rejected even before the first round interview?

I would say no. In such a case, he is asking HR to revisit a far less involved decision - tossed out resume vs. failed interview. Your only problem is most BBs are wrapped up with SA recruiting. I only know of a couple of openings remaining across the NYC offices.

I see, thanks. I guess these opportunities for SA in S&T at BBs is pretty much gone I will try to create good contacts hopefully it will help me when I apply for full time in Sept (even though I think it's going to be harder).
