Is electronic trading S&T considered front office?
question above - and is the goal to route trades as fast as possible - when does the human element come in i.e. left tail event happens and a human needs to step in to make a choice on limiting risk? My understanding is that there are no more human equity vanilla traders or is it just that they are just very few.
depends on how you define FO.
There are agency & principal desks in electronics.
If client interaction is the criteria, former yes, latter no.
If risk taking is the criteria, vice versa.
