Is options trading all the same?
Looking through LinkedIn and speaking to some people, trading options on different commodities seems to all be quite similar. I've seen people hop from desk to desk - ags, precious metals, oil.. so is options trading largely similar despite changing products? I assume fundamentals don't have such a big impact since many options traders hedge away their deltas anyway.
Liquidity matters more than specific product. So flow trading liquid options is the same whether in FX or SPX or treasuries, whereas backend swaptions and equity exotics is different.
