Leaving "Tier 2" firm to go to "Tier 1" within 6 months?

I greatly apologize for using the "Tier" language and fully understand that to land an opportunity at any of these shops you have to be a great candidate, but I want to get the opinion of those in the industry.

I am currently a trader at a CTC/Akuna level shop. Well reputed and established in the trading industry and definitely have a presence in the options market-making space. As a side hobby, I have built out some intense DeFi projects as well as some MEV bots that have garnered the attention of places like CitSec/Jump.

I told the people I've spoken with that I am a recent joiner at my current firm with a 6-month non-compete and I have specifically told the other firms I really enjoy the options space and I would only consider hopping for a role directly tied to options market making and that my projects and bots I've built demonstrate an interest in crypto, but I don't really find it as fun as options trading.

These are all preliminary intro talks, but if these talks lead to an interview process and I end up with an offer to join CitSec/Jump and it beats my current comp should I take it? How likely do you think my current firm is willing to cut the non-compete time a bit considering I only recently have developed experience with our current systems?

I understand this is a strong what-if but I feel like this is just an opportunity that might only happen with a crypto trading role because I don't see what firm would want to wait 6 months to pick up a trader with only 6 months of experience at a competitor rather than just wait until they have 1+ YoE and more autonomy. I haven't really even started running my own book yet with a larger prop risk.

If you were a trader in my position and had the opportunity to hop 6 months in for the name and comp would you take it or do you feel like the risk of having only 6 months of experience on your resume and having to wait out a 6 month non-compete might scar you if you end up getting cut from CitSec/Jump in the future. I feel like it would look weird to see someone hop after 6 months, wait 6 months for a NC, try out 6 months at CitSec/Jump and if you don't perform well get cut and have more non-compete time on your resume than actual experience haha.

EDIT: My end goal is to start my own firm and so perhaps Citsec/Jump (Especially Jump for Crypto) would turn more heads than my current firm.
