Let the internship season begin....

I know we are about to start coming on campus and hiring folks for the summer as everyone else. Been reading about some of the firms already internviewing and hiring; congrads if you have already locked up a summer spot. Few tips for the guys/gals looking to intern this summer and while basic the little things can help.

  1. Be yourself. Dont try to be anything your not
  2. Cont to work hard in the classroom and keep those grades up.
  3. Learn as much as possible about the firm, group, focus etc etc
  4. Reach out to anyone and everyone that can help and use the summer to keep networking if your going to be in a city away from home.
  5. Create a path but one that is adaptable.

Good luck and if I can help in any way please do reach out.

Yea, good luck to all the upcoming SA's. At this point the grades probably are what they will be on the resume, but in case the internship doesn't turn into a full time offer, you better keep the grades up for FT recruiting next year.

Work your ass off prepping for interviews (WSO guides, Vault guides, current events, stock market, etc), be yourself and be a likable person and you will be fine. When/if you get the internship, make sure you keep your head down, do whatever is asked of you, and double and triple check all your work. Do that, make friends with the people you work with, and going into senior year you will have a job offer on the table (unlike myself haha...)

Good luck!
