Hey all,
I have some nights occasionally where I get tons of trading ideas right when I'm about to go to sleep. I then get an adrenaline rush which causes me to be 100% awake. I do not have stress or any of those things, it's more a positive sensation. However, since it does keep me up I feel I'm not sufficiently rested the next day which impedes my trading. After the job I usually have no troubles unwinding and relaxing, it's always when I'm about to go to sleep that this issue arises.
Has anyone experienced this? And if so, how did you tackle this?

read up on the psychology behind trading. I know so many traders who can't sleep. a long time ago I used to be the same way (retail trades only). then I started to go for a run at night and it worked.
Yes, perhaps some type of activity is not a bad idea. For me, sporting in the evening is a bad idea because I also can't sleep because of it for some reason. Guess I'll keep working on finding some bedtime routine.
try white noise, ocean waves, rain, wind etc as youtube videos and turn around the display (so it won't blind you). it really helps many people.
