Macro forecasting firms

Does someone know this world of macro forecasting firms in London : TS Lombard, Capital economics, etc ?They work with hedge funds and banks from what I read on their websites, and the job seems to be very interesting, very analytical. It's mainly deep macro trends analysis right?I have a few questions :
- What's the average comp?
- Do they take some summer interns despite posting no offer on the internet?
- Is it possible to go from a trading job to this ? Or the other way around?
- Is the hiring process competitive? Compared to S&T
-Are they only open to econ major? or is it ok to have finance/quant background and a strong interest in macroeconomics? If someone is willing to share anything relevant regarding this area :)
