making money everyday for the first quarter?

what are they referring to when they say,
"Goldman Sachs has made money every single day for the first quarter"?
how is daily P/L calculated when prop desks are gone?
They still mark their book to market every night where possible. You don't think that flow traders ignore their positions except at quarter end do you? Then of course some of their services also provide commissions and other forms of payment besides just a change in P/L.
