Management vs. Marketing Major for S&T
Marketing is my current major, but I want to get into Sales and Trading.
It is too late for me to switch major to finance, but I can switch my major to Management if I just take two more courses than how many I already have to take for my marketing major.
My next two semesters will be a tinee tiny bit busier if I do take two more courses though. I am Junior and will graduate in a year (two semesters). The both majors are under Bachelor of Business Administration degree, though.
What would you guys recommend me to do?
- Switch to Management?
- Stay with Marketing?
- Stay with Marketing & just list B.B.A. without listing my major on resume?
- Shut up and drop out of college?
Thanks for your input!!
Marketing makes me cringe.
If you only need to take two more courses for management, I would to that imo.
You may want to stick with Marketing if it means that you can take a couple of finance classes before graduation and then put it on your resume in relevant coursework. Marketing is always kind of bullshit but then again Management is to an extent as well. If you can't take other finance classes, switch to Management.
Take an extra semester and switch to finance.
Do firms recruit at your school for s&t?
If no, your major won't really matter at this point. If yes, hopefully you have an internship lined up this summer.
Either case...you need to network.
Why switch from marketing to markets?
