Missed Call from HR--Rejection?

Have any of you ever been rejected after getting a call from HR? I missed a call, and she asked me to call her back, but I think she's out for the day, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow. Is there a chance this call is a "Sorry, we've moved on" call?

If you have been waiting a long time since interview, it could potentially be a "hold tight, we are still deciding" or a rejection - sometimes when you are close but don't get it and interviewed well they take the time to call you.

If the interview was recently it's most likely good news

It's been a week, and I did ask for an "update" on my application a few days ago. I think it's a "no" though, since I did ask for an update, and they're calling with an update. I would prefer an email to a rejection phone call though--then I can archive the email and forget about it.

If you got rejected, she would've leave a voicemail. Unless she likes hearing the voice of someone who recently gotten rejected.

Good luck.

All the rejections I have had were calls. Asked to call them back because they have an update on my interview process. Good luck though hopefully it is good news!
