Money market trading resume
Hi - I wanted to receive some feedback on what budge bracket banks are looking for on a Junior Trading resume. For the past two years I have been a short-term (front end) rates trader for a large European bank and am now looking to apply to some US banks and possibly a few hedge funds.
What are the things most important to capture on a resume when applying to these jobs? the size of the portfolio managed, PnL, product knowledge... ?
Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated
How junior?
2 years experience all in trading. Primarily front-end rates (money market securities/products), some FX and FX forwards, and OIS/Fed Fund swaps
Any sense of the PNL split between franchise and prop, if any?
Due to U.S. regulatory reasons. Funding desks need to refrain from "prop" trading, and instead it is "hedge" trading. I would say PnL is 20% from FX "prop" type activities and 20% from hedging interest rate risk.
