Moving from sales to trader
Hi guys.
I got a RO from a tier 1 BB for a sales role, but my end goal is to work at a macro HF or the buy side in general for a investing role. I know it's not possible to go directly from sales to an investment role, so I figured that it's more realistic to do an internal transfer: sales -> trader -> buy side. I've seen some people do it in and outside my firm. Wanted to hear from people who were able to make the pivot; what made it possible ?
