Need help - Sales !!!

I work in the backoffice and have proved myself, and therefore will be given more experience in S&T.

I have requested for more sales exposure and I am meeting with a senior member from the sales equities desk. What kind of tasks can i ask for that will be a little more substanative than merely superficial. This experience will not include any client interface.

So, all the other stuff like marketing and so forth. If you were in my spot what can of stuff would you ask for visa-via expereince in sales?

Too keep my confidentiality I am not going to state the bank, but will say that it is a BB.

Could someone with insight please help me out.
