Off-Cycle Internships

I'm looking to apply to off-cycle internships in any financial position, but would prefer a S&T role. I have been looking online and there don't seem to be any positions really during the school year. Do I have a better shot looking at the larger banks or at smaller firms? Anyone have any leads for this?
