Off-cycles

I will be applying to off-cycle internships, meanwhile I am graduating on June.
What do you think is the best way of securing a place? What works best? I don’t really have a strong network, but I have a pretty good resume. Should I try more and reach out to people in the firms I am appying to?

Securing a full-time job tends to be easier for Summer Interns, however the conversion rate for Off-Cycles vary from one bank to another. Some banks roll the Off-Cycle positions and some open these positions on the back of an available headcount.

Either way, you should network with banks that you apply to. Off-Cycle positions are targeted to a specific desk, so if you find the right person to reach, and if you sell yourself well, you might get one.

I’m wouldn’t consider myself super knowledgeable in that but I am currently an Off-Cycle in a BB.
