Oil Trading vs. Metal, Minerals and Bulk (Trafigura Graduate)

Trafigura has started hiring for its 2013 graduate vacancies, and I am am already slightly stuck, as I am unsure whether to apply to the "Oil and Derivatives" scheme, or the "Metals, Minerals and Bulk" scheme, as I am unaware of the advantages/disadvantages diffences between the two areas.

If anyone could please offer any insight into the major differences between roles, beyond the information specified on the Trafigura website (http://futuretalent.trafigura.com/) it would be very helpful.

Just pick one that you are more interested in. There is no need to make an excel-power-point-IBD presentation on pros/cons, if you learn your product and survive, you'll make a decent living.

In a way, it's a pertinent question. I mean, if you've never worked in that environment, you might wonder which would suit you best.

Let's say you're quite interested in both, there might be some specificities exclusive to one or the other that you might not know..

What are the main factors that made you guys choose one or the other? I guess it also depends in the region you're interested in trading with, or the type of contracts you make, etc.
