Options trading - what the market doesn't offer
I casually trade options every now and then.
Just realized that all the maturity dates and strike increments are rather fixed.
What if I want to buy an option at $12.25 strike that matures on Thursday?
Is this a big deal for options traders? Do you wish the market offered more options?
Go OTC? Obviously as individual traders we wouldn't be able to access the market
I believe CBOE has FLEX options that have custom expiry/strikes. You definitely need a broker who knows what he's doing to trade these though. There's no liquid market in these that I know of and you're much better off with the standard versions with a tight screen market.
