Phone Interview at Goldman Sachs - Commodities Ops, NGL Logistics - Any tips?
Got laid off from Glencore (thank god), applied at GS and got the initial phone interview. Anyone know how long the whole interview procedure is? (how many interviews in total? Ops role at GS worth the stress? and are hours as long as IB for Ops?) Last question is, is this role worth it? im not too familiar with investment banks and their structures.
Not familiar with GS ops, but curious why you are so down on Glencore.

Are Goldman a large player in the NGL space? I'm yet to see them as a counterpart at my major.
Sounds like a 9-5 kinda role. GS isn't big in the space, i don't think any banks are. Primarily customer flow business, hedging risk kinda vibe
Hmm interesting, don't want to go into IB side anyways I value work-life balance way too much aha. GS on the resume will look niceee tho

GS ops for natty/power is far from 9-5 and pays a lot of overtime and you bank for more vacation. No idea about NGL space though.
So its an hourly wage job?
