Power trading

Quick question for any graduate power traders out there: how much do you guys make yearly? Base and bonus?

I know, it depends heavily on company and a myriad of other factors. Just asking for general numbers. Heard something from a friend of mine working at a power trading company in London, claimed to be making mid 6 figs £ all in comp in his first year out of undergrad. Sounded a bit inflated to me but just wondering if anyone has general info on what the pay is like in the biz for juniors, fresh out of uni

Many thanks to anyone with info, would be highly appreciated (thinking of making the move if the money is really potentially that great...)

Started off on a RT Power Desk for one of the larger firms. Got 105k + 57k bonus

Now I am a Director making 500k+ so I mean the money is there. You just gotta be patient if you wanna switch. I switched to energy from Fixed Income Trading. It was hard initially, but I think it was worth it.

(I leave in the Southern US, so COL is much lower)

Yes it was. The average salary on the desk was 105-110 first year. And bonuses were expected between 50-100% but that isn’t the norm. 15-30% is more typical.
