Preparing For Internship with Lean Hogs
Hello All,
I have received a junior summer internship analyzing and trading lean hog and soybean futures.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to prepare before I hit the desk?

Mind if I ask what firm? First I've heard trading lean hogs haha
Maybe hit up some old floor traders from the CME or CBOT. They might be able to give you some insight into those products.

Very curious what firm. All financial or will you be trading any physical? Hogs are a weird market. The futures are decently liquid but are financially settled against an index, not physically delivered (like cattle futures). But my understanding is, and I wasn't a hog trader, the underlying cash markets rarely trade and most hogs are raised on long term contracts.
