Prop power vs bank?
What’s up guys, I’m currently a virts trader (DA) at a power prop shop in Houston. Less than a year of experience but am interested in some power trader positions in NYC. But these roles seem to be more RT trader/Scheduling positions, does anyone know what comp progressions are like for power traders in banks?
I mean Houston is the center of power trading in the US. Only GS/MS have power desks in nyc, everyone else is in Houston.
No way around that I'm afraid.
I cannot speak to progression at a bank beyond analyst -> associate -> VP -> ED -> MD
I’m assuming banks do more flow trading?
What’s your current comp?
salary is same as banks, bonus is said to have higher variance but I’m assuming it’s more
