Prop Trading Advice

I am a junior, attending college in Albany, NY. I am looking to one day break into prop trading in the Chicago area. I am currently majoring in Finance and Actuarial Science, with a computer science minor. My GPA is 3.3. I play on a Division 1 soccer team and president of Math and Finance society at my school.

Looking into prop trading, I was wondering if grad. school would be necessary. I want to attend IIT for financial Engineering, and then break into prop trading. Although I know most people with MFE degrees become quants and such, I want to go more trading. Is this MFE degree necessary? Am I on the right track or should I do something different. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.
