Python for Trading

I am currently a junior and am interested in S&T. I recently spoke with a few traders and one of the biggest takeaways I had was to focus on learning Python, VBA, and/or R. So far, I have a taken a class in Python and am currently enrolled in a Java class. However, my skills are still very rudimentary and I am looking to improve.

Are there any resources (e.g., books, online courses) that I should look into to learn Python for trading?

Quantopian is great - they have lectures that really jumpstart you into the world of algorithmic trading with Python.

There are also tons of resources online like Quantacademy, Quantconnect, etc etc. Also don't forget online courses like Udemy, Coursera that you can follow along at your own pace for Python for finance.

If you really want a strong base-level with using Python in finance, I recommend this book: Python for Data Analysis - Wes McKinney

You could check out various self-learning courses by Quantra that range from the beginner to the advanced level and select the one that suits you best.
