reasonable expectations for cumulative comp after a few years?
I've learned not to pay too much attention to starting offers because they seem pretty standardized across BB S&T groups, and to a lesser extent across quality prop firms, but also because the job is all about the bonus, the upside.
having been in the business (prop, not BB) for a few years and having just finished reviews/bonus time, I'm trying to get a sense of where I stand - namely, is it worth it to pursue other options (especially with the present environment). any comments on reasonable expectations for cumulative comp over the first 3 years and very good reviews? from various estimates I've seen, I'm coming to a 400k-600k range (not including the occasional shooting stars that make it to trader monthly's coveted 30-under-30 hearsay/speculation list)
seems reasonable, and that 30 under 30 is a pile of shite by the way.
