SA vs FT experience required

So I imagine for S&T FT hiring that any employer would preference candidates that have some kind of financial SA experience. How much previous SA experience is expected for junior/penultimate year students applying for a summer analyst position? I know the more the better but is it uncommon for someone with no previous financial experience to land a SA in S&T?

was more in lev fin... but my experience was sort of laughable when i worked at gs as a sa.. i learned everything on the job.. nothing at my fancy schmancy school taught me anything useful for wrok..obviously it wont hurt you... but the most important thing i laerned is making connections and keeping those connections.. trust me on this

hope this helps.. good luck
