Sales and Trading vs Commodity Trading

Was in a position to choose between SnT and Commodity Trading for my Junior Summer (Commodity Trading offered basically almost a guaranteed conversion).

Chose Commodity Trading (specifically power trading [EU market]), even though base salary is likely to be 1/2 to 2/3 of what SnT can offer.

Reasons: 1. Stability - conversion rates in recent years for BBs have been pretty low, didn't wanna take my chances 2. Power Industry tailwinds 3. Work life Balance 4. Workplace Politics
