So in Sales at BB's, how long does it take for an Analyst to get his/her own account? Also, what kind of responsibilities are Sales Analysts in charge of?

Not long. Plenty clients to go around. You'd just start with some of the small fish clients first, and get bigger ones when you prove yourself.

Depends on the desk, the people, the team structure, and yourself. If you're on a Cash Sales desk selling products to Pension funds, I'd expect you to get clients quicker compared to if you were on a HF Rates Sales desk.
So why is it that I often read that 1st year sales is a dead end job?
? 1st year sales leads to 2nd year sales etc. A dead end would imply that you stayed in your first year forever or had no hope of advancement
Sry, I mean Sales Analyst. From what I've read, Analysts are basically stuck with that title in Sales and don't see a bumb to associate.
