Sales v Structuring
Hey guys I can choose between Sales and Structuring for an internship. I would like to get into trading later on. I think I find structuring more appealing. At this point (I'm a first year) does this choice even count for the future ? Thanks
Of course it counts
The role of structuring really depends on the bank. In some cases it is quant team at other banks it's more a marketing/solutions role. Overall, it is very technical and analytical. As a junior, I would do structuring and hone in on technical skills
Thanks for your insight, It's Santander London if that helps. What I could find is they work on debt packages/senior debt and "working capital funding solutions" (I don't know what that means)
Is this for the London office? Or Milan?
London
As a first year? PM me on how you got it please.
You would be doing strucured repo, CLOs, etc. I think. I am a structurer for the investment products (certificates, warrants and notes)
