Shell San Diego

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could offer insight on Shell's San Diego office? Curious about what products they trade, culture, the energy scene in SD, and difference with Houston NA HQ, etc.

Having trouble finding information, any insight would be greatly appreciated

Was a cheeky joke, but basically monty and the other comment were correct. Sr Management is not dumb, the office is located in La Jolla UTC so you can live near the beach and work there easily. But most people know there is a major compensation gap between junior and senior staff in that office for that very reason. Most people do not care since they enjoy the lifestyle. Pay is going to be the same in California office as the Houston office, taxes higher, COL higher.

Then you have standardized pay schedules at a firm like Shell, so they just need to keep roles at lower job grades versus other offices to justify.
