S&P Trading

Ten years ago I was a runner/clerk in the bond option pit at the CBOT. Later on I went upstairs to work for a small group of options traders hedging their postions. Some family health issues required me to move back home. Along the way I fell into another line of work.

I've traded for myself in the past and done okay but marriage, kids, mortgage, etc. has eaten up quite a bit of my speculative capital. I find myself at a career crossroads and would like to get back into trading. I would like to find a firm that specializes in futures trading; primarily S&P's or currencies. Not an arcade and not a firm where I have to pay for the privelege of a position. Rather, someplace that trains the traders and provides ongoing mentorship.

Most of my research shows that the majority of prop shops are primarily market makers in options and equities. Does anyone know someone who successfully trades e-mini's or currencies. There is no shortage of "systems" for sale but I would rather apprentice to someone who has been successful trading from the screen.

Unlike many of the posters here I do not have an MBA, PhD., or computer science degree. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.
